Information on 2010 Pre-Season Tourney
Your team has been selected for invitation to participate in the 2010 Pre-Season Kick-Off Classic, a co-ed flag football tournament hosted by The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association. This year’s Classic will benefit Kids R First charity, that provides school supplies and mini Scholarships for students aspiring to attend college.

as soon as possible with your teams intention to participate or decline
of the invitation, so we can reach out to other interested teams if
need be.
FORMAT: The
tournament will most likely be single elimination; however all teams
will play a minimum of 2 games (Teams losing in the first round will be
paired against each other to play for pride, money, drinks at the party,
or all of the above). We may tweak this based on the amount of teams
that are interested. Finalized details/brackets will be sent out 1 week
beforehand. We are really pushed for time this year so please respond back to me as soon as you can.
RULES: The tournament will follow the 2009 CAN football season rule book (exception is no alumni rules)
DATE/LOCATION: The Anacostia Park Fields have been reserved for Saturday, August 28th.
TIME: Games
will likely start at 8 am and continue through the day (championship
game will occur NLT 4 pm). Note: teams will play their first game at
either 8 am or 9:30 am
ROSTERS: Minimum of 20 players,
COSTS: $20 per player, $13 per guest ($20 at the door the evening of the party). Costs include t-shirt for players and entrance to the post-tournament party at the Front Page in Arlington. Waivers must be signed by all players before they can participate in the tournament.
